Hi Khaled,

thanks, yes it is so (i know), i left it out as i can't test it, i don't have any synctex enabled viewer, and until now :-) i didn't know anybody who has one. I'll try to fix and would be glad if you then can test it...

Regards, Hartmut

TeXworks (http://www.tug.org/texworks/ ) is synctex enabled, and I'd gladly do any tests needed.

please try svn 2425. should be exact on the point.

I think it is working fine now, tested with both the attached test file and more complex Arabic ConTeXt document and every thing seems to be OK so far.

I don't have a synctex enabled dvi viewer, google search don't seem to find any, so I'm using dvipdfmx to convert the dvi file to test with texworks. The match seems to be shifted down, so what should match the first line in the output matches the 7th line after it, no problem with pdf from pdftex generated dvi file.

please try r2426, should be exact now also for DVI (or doubly wrong :-)

Now it highlights the correct line in DVI mode too. But "highlight" is shifted to the right of the page. Also in PDF mode with \pardir TRT, the highlight runs to the right side of the page and not confined to line width (but not shifted).
